What to do while you wait

Turn the water off
Your water meter is usually near the front boundary. Turn the tap on the meter clockwise until it stops.

Gas smell? Get outside
Turn the gas off at the meter if it's safe. Open doors and windows, don't use switches or flames, and call us from outside.

Keep power away from water
If water is near power points or the ceiling is sagging, switch off at the switchboard and stay clear.

Are you licensed for gas emergencies?
Yes. NSW contractor licence 481746C covers plumbing, drainage, gasfitting and LP gasfitting.
